Elvas, a small sun-spoiled village

Our family-run bed & breakfast guesthouse Graf-Messnerhof is located in the sunny and quiet village of Elvas, 824m above sea level. Elvas is nestled on the southern slopes of the Natz-plateau, only 3 kilometres to the north-east of the ancient bishop’s city of Brixen/Bressanone, a locality along the Eisacktal/Isarco Valley. This is where you can enjoy unspoilt nature and feel home from home.

Views stretch from lush vineyards and orchards over woods and luxuriant meadows up to the mountain pastures below the snow-covered mountain peaks, rocky bastions with altitudes over 3000 metres. From Elvas you can enjoy also a wonderful view of the city of Brixen/Bressanone.
And, don’t miss out on a trip to the bishop’s city of Brixen/Bressanone with its picturesque arcades and churches, the Bishop’s Palace and the historically significant Neustift/Novacella monastery.

Its central location makes the bed & breakfast Graf-Messnerhof the perfect starting point for hikes, awe-inspiring mountain treks and spectacular mountain-biking. Numerous well-marked trails at walking distance will guide you through pristine landscapes. The immediate environment might also inspire you to some mountain-biking or horse-riding – the local riding stable offers guided treks and organises excursions for children.

Summer is the time to trek to the Alpine huts and, for the more ambitious, to climb imposing mountain peaks, feasting your eyes on the breathtaking views.
Pack your swimming costume and swim in near natural lakes or try the innovative spa experience of Aquarena swimming pools.

Snow is assured on our ski slopes and sleigh runs and makes for adventurous winter holidays. Our bed & breakfast Graf-Messnerhof is within easy reach of the ski areas of Plose and Gitschberg/Jochtal. Alternatively, enjoy the tranquil landscapes walking on marked trails or snowshoe-hiking amidst snow-covered pastures.
